Minors Blue Jays Walk-Off In Nail-Biter Against Marlins

It came down to the wire on Wednesday, as Minors Blue Jays grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 5-4, over Marlins. The game was tied at four in the bottom of the seventh when Keaton S was struck by a pitch, driving in a run.

A ground out by Alex put Marlins on the board in the top of the first.

Minors Blue Jays made the score 3-1 in the bottom of the first after Millen N drew a walk, scoring one run, and Jacob M singled, scoring two runs.

In the top of the third inning, Marlins went back into the lead after Alex singled, Luke was struck by a pitch, and Minors Blue Jays committed an error, each scoring one run.

Keaton stole home, which helped Minors Blue Jays tie the game at four in the bottom of the sixth.

Jacob pitched four innings in relief for Minors Blue Jays. The reliever gave up two hits and two runs (one earned) while, striking out 11 and walking four. Gavin S started the game for Minors Blue Jays. The righty gave up one hit and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking two.

Mitchell A went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Minors Blue Jays in hits. Jacob and Keaton each drove in one run for Minors Blue Jays. Johnny B and Keaton each stole multiple bases for Minors Blue Jays. Minors Blue Jays ran wild on the base paths, collecting eight stolen bases for the game.

Paul went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Marlins in hits. Alex and Luke each drove in one run for Marlins. Sebastian paced Marlins with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Sebastian stole three bases.
